Running dedicated server on ARM board

PostThu Apr 05, 2018 10:57 am

Hi,

I had an idea to run the turbo sliders server on my raspberry pi.

However, it seems that the executable is not compatible with the arm board.

I have downloaded the latest linux version from here: http://www.turbosliders.com/download

I am running raspbian and when I try to start I get the following error:

Code: Select all
./sliders.linux
-bash: ./sliders.linux: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

I think this is just the matter of compilation.

Any ideas how to work around this?

Unfortunately, the Linux executable is a binary file compiled only for x86 and I don't have resources to start maintaining other versions. I don't know if there are emulators that would allow you to run x86 with Rasberry PI but even if there are, I would not count on the performance to be great.
